KDB supports differently-abled children in rural India through education, health, and community integration.
KBD Trust is a rural day school for children with mental and physical challenges in Elakurru Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. Students learn language, computer and life skills as well as to overcome physical challenges that limit their mobility. Transportation, meals, and access to healthcare ensure students get comprehensive support.
Most rural communities lack the understanding and expertise to teach differently-abled children basic life skills such as walking, talking, and eating independently. To meet the need for special education teachers, we opened a women's college on the KDB Trust campus.

To extend access to children and families living too far to travel to the Day School program daily, KDB Trust launched Project Outreach. Through the initiative, families are invited to stay at KDB Trust and receive education and support to employ therapies for their at home.
